BECOME A MEMBER

1. Regularly attend our worship gathering in person.

The membership process first begins after you have attended our worship gatherings on a regular and consistent basis. This ensures that we get to know you better and you get to know the gospel that we preach here at Grace Baptist Church. We do not believe that the church can gather online, therefore we will not consider anyone for membership who is not physically gathering with us. If you live in the Northern Emirates and would like to attend our gathering, please fill out our Visitor Welcome Card.

2. Attend a Membership Weekender.

Our Membership Weekender class is offered to all prospective members or to anyone interested in knowing more about Grace Baptist Church. Attending a weekender does not obligate anyone to join, but attendance is required for membership. We offer Membership Weekenders on an as needed basis. To find out more information or to sign up for our next Membership Weekender, click here

3. Meet with a Pastor.

After you have attended all 5 sessions during the Membership Weekender, you will be scheduled to sit down with a pastor to further discuss your testimony of salvation and answer any of your questions.

4. Pastoral Recommendation.

After your membership interview, the pastors will recommend nominations for the church to vote into membership.

5. Congregational Vote.

During our Members Meeting, the church will vote on prospective members. All nominations that are affirmed by the congregation will be immediately brought into our body as a covenant member of Grace Baptist Church.

MEMBER COMMITMENTS

1. Gather

Gathering as God's people is essential both in our growth as Christians and in our obedience to Christ (Heb 10:24-25). Therefore we have several gatherings that are foundational to being a faithful member at Grace Baptist Church, including our most important gathering during the week - our Worship Gathering on Sundays.

2. Pray

God graciously and mysteriously has ordained the prayers of His people to be a means in order to accomplish His sovereign will on earth (Matt 6:9-12; Rev 8:3-5). Prayer is commanded by the Lord Jesus, vital for the health of the church, and the advance of God's kingdom to the ends of the earth (Rom 12:12; 1 Thess 5:17).

3. Give

At Grace Baptist Church, members commit to contribute cheerfully, generously and regularly to the support of the ministry and expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the Gospel through all nations (Matt 28:19; Luke 12:33; 2 Cor 9:7). 4. Commit to Loving Relationships

Christians are to be devoted to one another in brotherly love as we patiently bear, forgive, encourage and build one another up (Rom 12:10). At Grace Baptist Church, we  exercise watchfulness over each others' souls by pursuing God exulting relationships in the way we intentionally seek out one another, humbly speak the gospel truth to one another, and exhort one another to remain faithful to Christ in all that we do (1 Thes 5:11; Heb 3:12-14).
